- 1 cup mashed potatoes
- 1 cup flour
- 1 tsp. salt
- 1 egg
- 1 large onion
- 1 stick butter
- Mix potatoes, flour, salt & egg.
- Put on a floured surface.
- Shape into rolls about 1" in diameter, then cut into small pieces (1/2 - 1").
- Drop into salted boiling water for 15 minutes.
- Chop onion and add to butter in frying pan.
- Sautee dumplings in butter and onions and serve.
