Sweet and Sour Pork

  • 1 1/2 Pounds lean pork steak (cubed)
  • 1/2 Cup water
  • 1 20 oz. Can pineapple chunks
  • 1 small green pepper (cut in strips)
  • 2 Tbsp. cornstarch
  • 1/4 Cup vinegar
  • 2 1/2 Tbsp. soy sauce
  • 1/4 Cup chopped onion
  • Salt to taste
  • 1/4 Cup brown sugar


  • Brown pork, add water and simmer 1 hour.
  • Combine brown sugar, juice from pineapple, cornstarch, and vinegar and mix well.
  • Add pineapple chunks, green pepper, onion, soy sauce, and salt.
  • Serve over rice and top with chow mein noodles.
