Swedish Meatballs


Ingredients
- 1/4 Cup chopped onions
- 1 Tbsp. butter
- 1 Pound hamburger
- 2 Tbsp. flour
- 1 egg
- 1 Can beef consomme soup
- 1/4 Cup light cream
- 3/4 Tsp. salt
- Dash of pepper
Instructions
- Cook onion in butter until tender, not brown.
- Combine meat and seasonings and beat thoroughly.
- Mix in flour, then egg and cream.
- Add onion mixture.
- Form in 1-inch balls and lightly brown in skillet with small amount of butler, shaking skillet to turn balls.
- Remove excess fat.
- Add consomme soup and cook 1 hour.
- When done remove the meatballs and make gravy from the liquid.
