Pork Chops In Sour Cream Gravy

  • 1 cup sour cream
  • 1/2 cup boiling water
  • 2 tbs. white vinegar
  • 2 tbs. white sugar
  • 1 pkg. dry onion soup mix
  • 4-5 1 1/2 - 2 1/2 lbs. pork chops
  • beau monde to taste (a seasoning put out by Spice Islands )
  • egg noodles dumplings or vermicelli


  • Sprinkle both sides of the pork chops with Beau Monde and place in a casserole dish.
  • Mix the sour cream and onion soup until well blended. 
  • Then add hot water, vinegar and sugar.
  • Pour the sauce over the pork chops and cook in a covered casserole at 350 degree F (30-45 minutes per lb.) until done. 
  • Serve pork chops on a bed of pasta and cover with sauce.


If sauce separates during cooking, beat with a wisk or fork before pouring over the chops.
