Ingredients

  • 1/2 Cup butter
  • 1 Cup sugar
  • 3 eggs
  • 2 1/2 Cups flour
  • 1/2 Cup sour cream of yogurt
  • 1 Cup pears (peeled & chopped)
  • 1 Tsp. almond extract
  • 1/2 Tsp. salt
  • 1 Tsp. baking powder
  • 1/4 Tsp. soda
  • 1/2 Tsp. nutmeg

Instructions

  • Cream butter and sugar, add eggs and 1 at a time.
  • Add dry ingredients.
  • Fold in sour cream or yogurt and almond extract until well blended.
  • Fold in chopped pears.
  • Pour into large loaf pan that has been well oiled.
  • Bake at 350° for 1 hour.
