Baked Swiss Steak

  • Swiss steak or thick round steak (pounded & floured - 8 ounces to person)
  • 1 Package dry onion soup mix
  • Pepper as desired
  • 1-2 Cans beef bouillon (depending on amount of meat)


  • Flour and brown steak.
  • Layer in a roaster or baking pan and sprinkle with onion soup mix and pepper.
  • Pour beef bouillon over all and bake, covered until nice and tender, 350° for 2 - 2 1/2 hours.
  • Turn meat occasionally.
