Ingredients

  • 1 ready-crust graham cracker pie crust
  • 1 egg yolk (beaten)
  • 5 1/2 Cups sliced peeled apples
  • 1 Tbsp. lemon juice
  • 1/2 Cup sugar
  • 1/4 Cup brown sugar
  • 3 Tbsp. flour
  • 1/4 Tsp. salt
  • 1/2 Tsp. cinnamon
  • 1/4 Tsp. nutmeg

TOPPING:

  • 3/4 Cup flour
  • 1/4 Cup brown sugar
  • 1/4 Cup sugar
  • 1/3 Cup margarine

Instructions

  • Brush bottom and sides of crust evenly with egg yolk; bake at 375° on baking sheet until light brown, about 5 minutes.
  • Combine apples, lemon juice, sugars, flour, salt, cinnamon, and nutmeg.
  • Mix well and spoon into crust.

For Topping:

  • In medium bowl, combine flour, sugars, and butter with fork until crumbly.
  • Sprinkle mixture evenly over apples.
  • Bake at 375° on baking sheet until topping is golden and filling is bubbling, about 50 minutes.
