Chinese Beef & Pea Pods

Ingredients

  • 1 - 1 1/2 lbs. flank steak
  • 1 - 10 1/2 oz. can consomme
  • 1/4 cups soy sauce
  • 1/4 tsp. ground ginger
  • 1 bunch green onion sliced
  • 1 - 7 oz. pkg frozen Chinese pea pods partially thawed
  • 2 tbsp. cornstarch
  • 2 tbsp. water

Instructions

  • Thinly slice steak diagonally across the grain.
  • Combine in pot with consomme, soy sauce, ginger & onions.
  • Cover & cook on low 5-7 hours.
  • Turn to high. Stir in cornstarch mixture.
  • Cook on high for 10-15 minutes or till thickened.
  • Drop in pea pods the last 5 minutes.
  • Serve over hot rice.
