Ingredients

  • 1 Can drained cherries
  • 1 Tbsp. flour
  • 1 Cup sugar
  • 1/4 Cup butter
  • 2 egg yolks
  • 1/4 Cup cream
  • 1/2 Tsp. vanilla

Instructions

  • Put cherries in unbaked pie crust.
  • Cream the butter, flour, and sugar.
  • Add egg yolks, beat until smooth.
  • Add cream and vanilla.
  • Pour this mixture over cherries.
  • Place in hot oven, 450°, for 10 minutes.
  • Reduce heat to 355° and bake for 30 minutes.
  • Make meringue from egg whites and 2 tbsp. sugar.
  • Put on top of berry mixture and brown.
