Carolyn’s Caramel Corn


Ingredients
- 2 Cups brown sugar
- 1/2 Cup white syrup
- 1/2 Pound butter
- 1/8 Tsp. cream of tartar
- 1 Tsp. soda
- 5 Quarts popped corn
Instructions
- Combine sugar, syrup, butter, and cream of tartar.
- Boil rapidly for 5 minutes; remove from heat.
- Add the soda and stir well.
- Will foam up and get lighter in color.
- Pour over popped corn.
- Mix well and bake at 250° for 1 hour stirring every 15 minutes.
